"Comparing data collected from the 2000 and 2004 presidential election exit polls, this short report undermines the claim that same-sex marriage cost John Kerry the presidential election. This report identifies categories of voters who were likely to oppose same-sex marriage as well as those who were likely to support it. The data from the exit polls also indicate heartening trends relating to voter acceptance of other forms of same-sex partnership recognition, like civil unions."
